'Digital TV Aerial & Satellite System Installation Service & Repair'

 CM17 (Harlow) Reception Information:

Church Langley and the surrounding areas sit at the extreme end of the London (Crystal Palace) and Bedford (Sandy Heath) transmitted Digital TV signals. What this means is that from a TV Aerial point of view, the Digital TV signal strength is at best borderline. Depending on where you live will determine which transmitter/direction your TV Aerial will need to point to get the best Digital TV reception.

A recent example of this in Church Langley was when we installed new Digital TV Aerials for two customers less than 350 meters apart. One location could only receive the London Crystal Palace signal (fully), the other could only receive the Bedford Sandy Heath signal (fully).

As a consequence of the local Digital TV reception problems we often have to recommend Freesat as opposed to Freeview to some of our customers.

There is little difference between the Freesat (dish) and Freeview (tv aerial) TV channels, but there is some! We strongly recommend some research on the Internet to make sure customers would be happy with the Freesat option. You can click the highlighted links for Freeview and Freesat channel information.

Digital Multiplexes (MUXES) / PSB Information:  (Multiplexes (MUXES)) are the new name for Digital TV Transmitters).

The Crystal Palace MUX population coverage is the highest in the UK at around 11 million and it is also the joint most powerful transmitter in the country at 200kW. This will increased substantially at the Digital Switchover, and will hopefully improve the areas weak signal situation.

The Sandy Heath MUX is the fifth most powerful in the UK at 170kW, and this will hugely increase in power after the Digital Switchover, and should also improve

the areas weak signal situation!!........
